Cancer care: Duragesic against chronic pain

Duragesic patch

Father is taking Duragesic patches: Duragesic provides continuous pain relief for 72 hours… we are talking morphine here.

Duragesic side effects

Is this a typical duragesic patch problem, or is it the metastatic liver cancer taking all energy out of father?

We notice a Duragesic patch side effects pattern:

  • the day after father’s pain killer patch is changed: he sleeps 21 hours out of 24.
  • The day that this pain killer patch needs to be changed: father wakes up very early and is active all day. Active as in not in bed.

Are we the only ones having these duragesic patch side effects, if not, please leave a comment.
